Nancy P's 2009
Nancy P's Classic is held at Mt Bachelor. It is a 10 or 20km race at the Mt Bachelor Nordic center. I have waited until now hoping that the weather forecast might get more wintery. No such thing seems to be in the forecast. Sunday looks to be warm and wet.
I will prep my skis tomorrow as follows.
Pick your plus base skis. Clean the kick wax zone and cover it with masking tape. Start the glide wax with a good layer of SOLDA UF7, scrape and brush. Follow up with SOLDA F31 or F40 Yellow, scrape and brush. Apply a coarse linear rill with the Toko or Swix structure tools and brush again. If you are using a Fluoro top coat go with the SOLDA Fluor 100 or Power Jet 1 either corked or ironed in. finish with a good brushing using a soft horsehair brush.
Kick wax. At this point I am going with my old dependable Rode Multigrade Klister -6 to +6C. I will lay down a thin layer of a klister binder and go with the Multigrade over it.
Have a good race and let me know what worked for you.
